Privacy Policy
Last updated July 13, 2026
This policy describes how PowerMinutes (“PowerMinutes,” “we,” “us”) collects and uses personal information when you use trypowerminutes.com and the services offered through it. The short version: we collect only what we need to sell and deliver reports, we don’t sell your data, and we don’t run ads or third-party analytics.
1. Information we collect
- Order information — your email address, the municipality and project type you request, and any notes you add to an order.
- Account information — if you create an account, your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider).
- Payment information — payments are handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we receive only confirmation of payment and the email you used at checkout.
- Report Q&A— if you use the Q&A feature, the questions you ask and the answers generated, which are stored with your account so you can revisit them.
- Technical logs — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) kept by our hosting providers for security and debugging.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and the reports we produce are about municipal governments and public records, not about individuals.
2. How we use it
- To process orders and payments and deliver your reports.
- To operate your account and show you your report packages.
- To answer your Q&A questions about reports you own.
- To send transactional email — order confirmations, report delivery, password resets. We do not send marketing email unless you separately opt in.
- To provide support, prevent fraud, and secure the service.
3. Service providers
We share personal information only with the providers that run the service, and only as needed for them to do their jobs:
| Provider | Role | What they process |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing | Payment details, email, order amount |
| Cloud infrastructure providers | Authentication, database, file storage, hosting | Account credentials, orders, reports, Q&A history, technical logs |
| AI service provider | AI processing | Report content and your Q&A questions, processed to generate reports and answers |
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, and if the business is ever acquired, customer data would transfer as part of that transaction under this policy’s protections.
4. What we don’t do
- We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
- We do not run advertising or share data with ad networks.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies on the site.
5. Cookies
We use only essential cookies: the session cookies our authentication provider sets to keep you logged in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, which is why you don’t see a cookie banner.
6. Data retention
We keep order and report data for as long as your account exists, plus whatever period tax and accounting rules require for transaction records. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information except what we must retain for those legal purposes.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our providers. Access to production data is limited to what is needed to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal information we will notify you as required by law.
8. Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@trypowerminutes.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California, Colorado, Virginia, or the EU/UK), you may have specific statutory rights to the same effect — we honor these requests regardless of where you live, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them. If you are in the EU/UK, the legal bases for our processing are performance of a contract (fulfilling your order) and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service.
9. Children
The service is for business use and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and post the new version here. Material changes will be flagged on the site or by email.
