Refund & Delivery Policy

What you’re buying

Each order is a custom research package on one local jurisdiction — zoning map, municipal ordinances, five years of meeting minutes, and a project report — at the price shown at checkout ($100 per municipality unless stated otherwise). You pay nothing when you place a request: payment is collected via Stripe only when you choose to unlock the finished package. Because every package is researched and produced individually for you, it is a custom digital good — but the guarantees below still give you clear routes to a full refund.

Delivery

Your package is normally ready in your dashboard within 24 hours of your request. Once you pay to unlock it, you can view it online and download it. If we expect a request to take longer — for example, a municipality whose records are unusually hard to obtain — we will email you before the 24-hour mark.

Insufficient-material guarantee

If we cannot find enough public material to produce a useful package for your municipality and project type, we cancel the request, tell you what we did find, and you pay nothing— no payment is ever collected for a package we can’t deliver.

Cancelling a request

Because you don’t pay until the package is ready, you can simply walk away from any request before paying — there is nothing to refund. A package you haven’t unlocked never turns into a charge.

Problems with a delivered report

If a delivered report has a material problem — it covers the wrong municipality or project type, or is substantively inaccurate or incomplete — contact us within 7 days of delivery. We will correct and redeliver the report, or refund the order, whichever you prefer.

How refunds are processed

Refunds are issued through Stripe to your original payment method. Stripe typically posts them within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
