Terms of Service
Last updated July 13, 2026
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and PowerMinutes(“PowerMinutes,” “we,” “us”). By placing an order, creating an account, or otherwise using trypowerminutes.com and the services offered through it (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund & Delivery Policy, both of which are incorporated into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company, and “you” refers to it.
2. The Service
PowerMinutes produces research reports about how individual U.S. municipalities have treated specific types of energy and infrastructure projects, based on publicly available local-government records such as ordinances, zoning maps, meeting minutes, and agendas (“Reports”). Account holders can also ask follow-up questions about their Reports through an AI-powered Q&A feature.
PowerMinutes is an independent research service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any municipality or government agency, and a Report is not an official government record.
3. Ordering and payment
Each Report is priced per municipality, per project type, at the price shown at checkout. Requesting a Report is free: payment is collected only when you choose to unlock a finished Report, through Stripe, our payment processor; we never see or store your full card details. Until you pay, you have no access to the Report and no obligation to purchase it. Prices may change, but a change will not affect a Report we have already told you is ready at a stated price. You agree to provide accurate order information.
4. Delivery
We aim to have each Report ready within 24 hours of your request. Once you unlock it, the Report is available in your account to view and download. Delivery timelines, our insufficient-material guarantee, and all refund terms are set out in the Refund & Delivery Policy.
5. Accounts
An account is required to request and access Reports. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate account information and notify us promptly at hello@trypowerminutes.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
6. Informational purposes only — not professional advice
Reports and Q&A answers summarize and interpret public records. They are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal, financial, investment, engineering, permitting, or other professional advice, and no attorney-client or advisory relationship is created by your use of the Service.
Public records can be incomplete, outdated, ambiguous, or wrong, and local circumstances change. Before making any decision that depends on information in a Report — including land acquisition, permitting strategy, project siting, or investment decisions — you must independently verify the underlying facts with the municipality and consult qualified professionals. You are solely responsible for decisions you make in reliance on the Service.
7. AI-assisted content
Reports and Q&A answers are produced with the assistance of artificial-intelligence systems. AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, or mischaracterizations, including inaccurate summaries of source documents. We work to keep Reports grounded in the source records, but we do not guarantee that any statement in a Report or Q&A answer is accurate or complete.
8. License and acceptable use
When you buy a Report, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own (or your company’s own) internal business purposes. You may not:
- resell, redistribute, or publish a Report, in whole or substantial part, or offer it as part of a competing product or service;
- remove attribution or present a Report as an official government document or as your own independent research;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to discover the Service’s source code, underlying prompts, models, data pipeline, or methodology — including through the Q&A feature — except to the extent applicable law prohibits this restriction;
- scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content from the Service, or access it by automated means other than the interfaces we provide;
- use the Service, Reports, or Q&A answers to develop, train, or improve a competing product, dataset, or AI model;
- use the Service to violate any law or third-party right, or attempt to probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service, its infrastructure, or other customers’ data.
Sharing a Report within your own organization and quoting reasonable excerpts (with attribution) in internal or client materials is fine.
9. Intellectual property
The underlying government records a Report draws on are public. The Reports themselves — their selection, analysis, structure, and text — and the Service, including the site design, branding, and software, are owned by PowerMinutes or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the license in Section 8, no rights are granted to you.
10. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers, including Stripe (payments), cloud hosting, database, and storage providers, and a third-party AI service provider. Their availability affects ours, and your use of Stripe’s checkout is also subject to Stripe’s own terms.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE AND ALL REPORTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE OR ANY REPORT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ERROR-FREE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PowerMinutes AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, OR BUSINESS DECISIONS MADE IN RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold PowerMinutesharmless from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
You can stop using the Service, or ask us to delete your account, at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for conduct that violates these Terms or harms the Service or other customers. Sections 6, 7, 9, and 11–13 survive termination, as do your rights to Reports you have already paid for and received.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page. Changes apply prospectively; the terms in effect when you placed an order govern that order. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at hello@trypowerminutes.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally. Any claim that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.
